Managing and Leading
My labeling work ranges from creating, editing and managing artwork for labeling. With a BA in design, I’ve been trained to create artwork. With my experience in Life Sciences, I’ve trained to not only create and edit labeling but to become a labeling specialist. Working with Regulatory Affairs, QA, Operations, Packing Engineers, and Manufacturing to provide labeling.
This includes IFUs, PILs, PIs, CMIs, vial, bottle, device and carton labeling.

Managing and Leading in Pharma
At BioMarin Pharmaceutical, I worked as a team lead, managing two of the company’s drug products, Naglazyme and Vimizim. Being able to lead a team of SMEs from different backgrounds was key. As a Labeling Specialist I led a group of Regulatory, Quality, Manufacturing, Packaging Engineering and other Specialists.
My role was to lead scheduling meetings, track and manage change controls, oversee artwork and labeling development, edit and create artwork. I also managed a set of labeling coordinators that worked specifically with the Artwork Management System (AMS), where teams consolidated input, reviewed and approved labeling artworks.
Communication, support, oversight, attention to detail and working cross-functionally was of upmost importance.

Coordinating in Pharma
Kite Pharma afforded me the opportunity to focus on the more nuts and bolts of Pharma Labeling. Within my team I participated in the review of components such as PILs, IFUs, cassette and package labeling. With primary responsibility to ensure accuracy and proofing to meet a quick turnaround of labeling work.
As Brexit has caused a shake-up in the pharma industry, like many companies, Kite Pharma was required to update labeling, reschedule releases to market.
In one project I created a schedule and plan to access specific UK or Great Britain labeling that would require update to meet Regulatory and new Health Authority requirements.

Business and Pharma Design
I’ve spent a good number of years as a print and media designer. I’ve worked with dotcom startups all the way to established companies, designing for websites, print and graphic media.
Sonoma Magazine, Nelson Connects, Contra Costa Times, are just some of the companies I’ve designed for. Handling print layouts, graphics, site design, power point presentations, and other visual media.
This led me to where I am currently, working with Pharmaceutical and Bioscience labeling design and management.
